I also worked as an Attending Psychiatrist at Retreat at Sheppard Pratt, providing psychiatric care including medication management and in-depth psychotherapy for complex mental illnesses. I am dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of children and adolescents in my community and am committed to providing the highest quality of care to my patients.
Dr. Rotsna Pradhan, M.D.
Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist
As a physician, I consider it a privilege to be allowed into the lives of people when they are struggling and seeking support. I approach the therapeutic relationship with utmost care, openness, intentionality, and responsibility. I offer a space that is safe, trusting, nonjudgmental, and respectful for all and is inclusive of diverse backgrounds, cultures, identities, and experiences for those seeking care.
I am a double board-certified psychiatrist with 20 years of experience treating children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked with individuals and families from diverse geographic, social, educational, cultural, and economic backgrounds, in multiple levels of care including outpatient community mental health centers, inpatient and residential care programs. I have learned how challenging it can be to seek and maintain treatment and have respect for the time, effort, and finance it entails.
As a psychiatrist trained in both psychotherapy and psychopharmacology, I take a biopsychosocial approach to evaluation and treatment, seeking to understand the factors contributing to the concerns of those seeking care. I work collaboratively with individuals to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals, integrating psychodynamic psychotherapy and thoughtful medication management, when appropriate. I am committed to providing compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based care that supports each person's well-being and personal growth.
Psychotherapy can be a way to better understand ourselves, our relationships, and our perspective. If it is something you are curious about, I can provide a supportive framework to explore and help you better understand your experiences, patterns, relationships, and conflicts as well as strengths that may be shaping your present experiences, perspectives, and emotional functioning. This understanding can help with improving quality of life. I also incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive psychotherapy, and psychoeducation. I will also make recommendations for referrals if it could mean a better healthier outcome for you.
